刀模線網站 (the Dieline) 已公布 2013 年度刀模線包裝設計大賞的得獎名單。這項活動是由何謂活的設計 (HOW Design Live) 聯盟，在美國舊金山莫斯科尼商展中心 (Moscone Center)，舉辦的五大項目之一。
刀模線包裝設計大賞，乃針對品牌包裝藝術的世界大賽。2013 年，主辦單位收到來自世界 61 個國家，共計 1100 件參賽作品。
得獎者共計 42 名。除橫跨 13 個不同分類，各取第一、二、三名外，還有專案最高評價、獨一無二的 "頂級大獎"，頒給最能體現刀模線包裝設計大賞者。"總監首選獎" 則由刀模線的創辦人安柱吉卜斯 (Andrew Gibbs)，親自精挑細選產生。再加上新增的 "環保包裝獎"，專為能回收或持續使用的包裝設計，具革新貢獻者而設。
刀模線包裝設計大賞的評審團，是由享譽包裝業界的 12 位專家組成。評審標準則根據設計的創意性、市場性、及革新性為主。評審主席是現任史德林品牌設計公司 (Sterling Brands) 設計總監的黛比妙門 (Debbie Millman)。

（路透阿姆斯特丹10日電）美國樂團30秒上火星（Thirty Seconds to Mars）今天勇奪2013年MTV歐洲音樂大獎最佳另類獎。主唱傑瑞德列托領獎時，率領全場為菲律賓災民默哀。
菲律賓遭到颱風海燕重創，死亡人數估計超過萬人。不過當傑瑞德列托（Jared Leto）在台上請大家默哀時，似乎不太受到台下理睬。
傑瑞德列托之後在後台說：「現場聽不太清楚，但重點是要傳達愛與支持，橫跨世界的另一端。」中央社（翻譯）

Lulu is a kangaroo. For 10 years she has lived with the Richards family. Lulu was adopted by the family after they found her next to her dead mother.
蓼蓼是隻領養來的袋鼠，當時理查他們發現蓼蓼孤伶伶地待在死去的媽媽旁，而十年來都和他們生活在一塊兒。
Mr. Ken Richards is a farmer. He was working on his farm when a heavy tree branch suddenly fell on top of him.

Lulu stood next to Mr. Richards’ body. She started barking and didn’t leave Mr. Richards’ side.
